The Manitoba Gymnastics Association

A Non-Profit Sport Organization that is a progressive, service oriented organization offering high quality programs for athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers. Each of these programs is overseen by committees and staff in the Provincial Office. Incorporated in 1968, the MGA continues to grow with over 6,700 members and over 30 Gymnastics clubs in Manitoba.

Mandate is to develop, promote, and guide gymnastics as a lifetime activity in Manitoba.

The MGA shall provide leadership, systems, and programs so that all participants may safely achieve their potential level of interest and ability.

Gymnastics in Manitoba is a very popular, very high profile sport that continues to grow, with programs for kids under 5 years old to advanced programs for athletes preparing for International Competition.

MGA has Athletes, Coaches and Officials who have participated at the International Level including 4 former Olympic athletes and 2 Olympic Officials.

Diverse Gymnastics programs ranging from Recreational, Regional, Provincials, National, International, Adult Recreational and Adult Competitive Gymnastics.

Participation in the Manitoba Games, Western Canada Summer Games, Canada Games.

Successfully hosted the 2005 Western Canadian Championships, the 2002 Canadian Gymnastics Championships, Elite Canada and the 1998 Pacific Alliance.

Well-developed Men’s and Women’s National Programs for athletes and coaches to follow.

The quality of MGA Coaches and Officials is extremely high – a Manitoba Official represented Canada at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
