Welcome to the Manitoba Gymnastics Association

It is the mandate of the Manitoba Gymnastics Association (MGA), as the Sport Governing Body, to develop, promote, and guide gymnastics as a lifetime activity in Manitoba. The MGA shall provide leadership, systems, and programs so that all participants may safely achieve their potential level of interest and ability.

Induction Ceremony November 8th, 2014

Lorie Henderson has been involved in her sport for over five decades - including the first 10 years as a competitor. She coached at the recreational, regional, provincial, national, and international levels. She judged at both the regional and provincial levels. Henderson has strategically planned programs, and recruited and trained staff at all levels. Through her continued commitment, Henderson has had a profound impact on gymnastics throughout the province at all levels of competition.


Congratualtions to Tegan Turner, Taran Barrett and Ryann Lewis who received recognition and a grant towards their further education from Sport Manitoba.

Coaching Manitoba Bursaries

One male and one female each from Winnipeg and Rural Manitoba received a $500 bursary to be used toward their 2014-2015 tuition. The bursaries have been named after two special coaches in Manitoba: Silvio Sboto and Jeff Collins.

 CS4L Launches physicalliteracy.ca! 

As the physical literacy movement spreads across Canada, people are asking questions. What is it? How can it be implemented? How can it be measured?

CS4L has responded with physicalliteracy.ca, a one-stop-shop for physical literacy information tools and resources.

Whether you want to know about CS4L's Community Connections project, better understand Physical Literacy for Injury Prevention, or download the Physical Literacy Assessment for Youth (PLAY) tools, physicalliteracy.ca is the place to go.

Visit often to learn about new programs, projects and developments from the physical literacy world.



Coaching Manitoba's "Coach of the Month" program recognizes outstanding Manitoba coaches in action. Nominations are accepted for coaches at all levels of sport (grassroots through high performance) who make extraordinary contributions to sport and athlete development. Deadline for nominations is the 18th of each month.
